Chelsea boosted in their pursuit of Skriniar as United look elsewhere

Chelsea’s hopes of landing Inter defender Milan Skriniar have been boosted by the news that Manchester United appear to be considering alternative targets.

Both United and Chelsea have been heavily linked with the Inter stalwart, but the latest rumours make good reading for Maurizio Sarri’s side.

Skriniar is being linked with big-money moves away from the San Siro, with the Slovakian now regarded as one of the most promising central defenders on the continent.

The Daily Record reports that Porto youngster Eder Militao is on the club’s radar as they continue to search far and wide for defensive reinforcements.

United have reportedly been impressed by the player’s development since he arrived in Portugal.

Everton and Manchester City have previously been linked with the player, as scouts keep a close eye on his performances.

With Skriniar reportedly valued between €80-€100 million by Inter, Militao would certainly be the cheaper option for United.
